Kings Chorale is excited to share news about our upcoming concert, Solace: Music of Comfort. Our feature work is Requiem by John Rutter. It will include solos by Dr. Nicole Jordan, a voice teacher and choral director at Dalhousie as well as a small group of instrumentalists.
Also presented will be the world premiere of Psalm 23 by Joyce Riddell, a concert pianist and teacher from Bedford who will accompany the premiere of her piece. We will also present the Canadian premiere of I Will Dream with You by Argentinian composer, Santiago Veros who will also be joining us. Santiago’s piece will be accompanied by Joyce Riddell. This is a concert filled with connections and collaborations!
In our troubled world, music brings us together. Santiago will be on a tour of three continents entitled Global Choral Bridges: Uniting Voices Across Continents. He will certainly be doing that here in Wolfville as he joins us in this musical event that features living composers from Europe and North and South America.
