Our Furry Flying Friends are mammals, just like us...except for the winged part.

Come for a walk with Zoologist Andrew Hebda from the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History to meet and learn about the fascinating lives of the only flying mammals on earth. Andrew will bring along some neat sound equipment (Bat Detectors) to help us track bats by picking up their sonar as well as some skins and skeletons from the Museum collections.
Test your Bat- IQ, try a game of Bat vs Moth (sort of like hide and seek for your supper).

Bring a bat-flashlight, appropriate bat-footwear, and lots of bat-questions. Meet at the Comfort Station. Information Blomidon Park bat-phone. *Raindate July 30 8:30-10:30pm
