Please join us for an artist led workshop with Susan Malmstrom in conjunction with her exhibit, Fortune Seeking on view at the Acadia University Art Gallery.
The workshop, ‘Creativity on Demand: Developing Your Methodical Muse," is designed for artists of any discipline, both professional and non-professional. You will learn how to streamline your work process, increase your productivity, and avoid (or overcome) creative blocks.

The exhibit, Susan Malmstrom: Fortune Seeking is on view August 3- September 25, 2011. Malmstrom has been investigating still life photography since the late 1980s with a focus on transforming real objects existing in time and space into non-reality based, allegorical imagery. For the series Fortune Seeking each photograph was inspired by a paper fortune from a fortune cookie, which had been collected over the past twenty years from a variety of Asian restaurants. The digitally created photo-collages incorporate art reproductions, household and found objects to produce visual narratives of the collected fortunes.
