The Alzheimer Café has three main aims:
1. To provide information about dementia
2. To speak openly about problems. Recognition and social acceptance are essential to this
3. Emancipation of persons with dementia and their families by helping to prevent them becoming isolated.
It is an opportunity for visitors to talk to each other informally, exchange experiences and informally consult caregivers and specialists.
Join us at Tan Coffee, 378 Main Str., Wolfville on 21st September 5:30pm—7:30pm (no charge) and every 3rd Wednesday each month or Cool Water Café, 36 Queen Str., Bridgetown on 27th September 5:30pm—7:30pm (no charge) and every 4th Tuesday each month to find out more.
Supported by Annapolis Valley Health and Nova Scotia Department of Seniors.
