“Introduction to Encaustic on Photo paper”
Working with wax paint on heated surfaces. Using the iron, and electric stylus to create quick and unusual designs. We will embed pictures and found materials into the work. Each student will be able to create several works.
Note: Not recommended for asthmatics or anyone with breathing problems.
Facilitator: Marilyn Rand has worked in the textile industry for over 35 years, and has had a lifelong interest in art and craft. The Rands have a flock of wool breed sheep and Marilyn teaches spinning, dyeing, and felting workshops on a regular basis.
Making Art Mondays are a series of workshops presented by the Alliance of Kings Artists and the Acadia University Art Gallery.
