A public film screening and panel discussion Wednesday at Acadia University in Wolfville will look at the environmental impact of hydraulic fracturing.

The session will include the screening of CBC-TV’s Land and Sea episode NB Gas. It will be followed by a panel discussion on things citizens can do to protect water, farmland and public health from the effects of fracking.

The panel will include Gretchen Fitzgerald, the Atlantic chapter director of Sierra Club Canada, and Heidi Verheul, the organization’s education co-ordinator.
