Look out England, Count Dracula is moving lock, stock and coffin to a decrepit old estate near you. Join the BRHS Drama Club as they declare war on a vampire invasion Bram Stoker style. Count Dracula (Kanaan McCabe) is in search of a replacement for a long-lost love. He has found her in England, Miss Lucy Westenra (Carly Owen). However, he must eliminate a few obstacles before he can take her. He meets her fiancé Jonathan Harker (Sean Heinemann), her best friend Mina Murray (Morgan Marshall) and of course his biggest challenges Dr. Petra Seward (Sabrina Sarty) and Prof. Abraham VanHelsing (Jessie Wheelhouse). Needless to say, Dracula enlists some help from his vampire servants (Allana Tidd, Abby Beals, Cameron Robb, and Tabitha Fultz) and a raving lunatic Mr. Renfield (Shania Taylor). Lucy’s parents (Sarah Roach, Tristan Townsend) and housekeepers (Emily Covert, Elizabeth Taylor) round out the cast. The play is stage managed by Katherine Neily, assisted by Caitlyn Murphy. Lighting and Sound technicians are Destinee Reay and Hailee Havenga. Costumes mistresses are Jessica Potter and Kally Phinney. BRHS students from grades 6-11 will play out the battle between VanHelsing and Count Dracula from May 24 – 26 at 7:30 pm each evening. Performances will be in the school gymnasium and admission is $5 at the door.
