You might not think that bugs in the water is a good thing, however in many cases, you couldn't be further from the truth. Some insects are only found in extremely clean water, others can be found in much worse conditions. Join Carolyn and Alex from the Clean Annapolis River Project for a hands-on, educational afternoon. Participants will learn about the insects of Crosskill Lake, and will test the water to discover just how clean and clear the water is. Participants will also play a fun game involving freshwater insects.
Registration is required to attend.
Participants should bring hat, sunscreen, water, bug-spray, boots or old shoes and old clothes. Registration is free, children under the age of four must have an adult with them to attend. To register contact Ian Manning, manniniz@gov.ns.ca or call 1-902-584-2327.
