Workshops will be led by the members of the Mocean Dance members. Acadia Performing Arts Series facilitates such opportunities to serve the larger community and to foster the pursuit of excellence in the performing arts. Acadia Dance Collective Community is a not-for-profit programme that facilitates community involvement in dance by creating experiences that are as financially accessible as possible.
Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Mocean Dance creates and performs athletic, vibrant contemporary dance. Currently led by Artistic Director Susanne Chui and Artistic Associate Sara Coffin, this versatile creation company commissions Canadian choreographers and company members to create dance that is highly physical, collaborative, and technically and emotionally rich. Mocean Dance tours internationally, delivering performances that engage audiences, and offering outreach activity to support the growth of modern dance in Canada.
