Find out how to reduce the risk of injury, to care for children, and the Do’s and Don’t’s of babysitting by learning how to react safely and with confidence during an emergency. Program highlights include becoming a babysitter, child care techniques, kids and food, managing behaviour, kids and play, keeping kids safe, handling emergencies, and basic first aid. Upon successful completion of a practical skills and multiple choice evaluation quiz, participants will receive a work book and earn a nationally accredited St. John Ambulance certification. Participants must bring a pencil, infant sized doll, and a snack and lunch to the program. For Grades: 5 – 8
