Andrea Speranza is one of the first women hired by the Halifax Regional Fire Service. She founded Camp Courage to inspire girls to become police officers, firefighters and paramedics. She will talk about her work as a firefighter and the challenges women face in these services.

This event is part of Acadia University's Women and Gender Studies Public Talk Series.

This lecture will take place in Room 244 of the BAC.
