Costelo, Alcorn and Sherwood on tour for the holidays!
This Christmas season join three of the country's most giving performers as they combine their talents to create a night of original music with a dash of Christmas jingle thrown in for good measure. Mixing the sounds of soul, pop, folk and jazz with some of the most timeless holiday classics, Erin Costelo, Coco Love Alcorn and Ian Sherwood form a band that will get your mistletoe tapping!
Erin Costelo
Based in Halifax, the accomplished musician and arranger has toured North America, scored performances with Symphony Nova Scotia and the Blue Engine String Quartet.
On her latest release, Costelo brings all her influences and experience together in the role of producer. We Can Get Over is a record of spirit, colour, and sass. Costelo’s evocative voice blends with lush string and horn arrangements and playful backup singers. Her evolution as a confident creative force is complete.
Coco Love Alcorn
Coco Love Alcorn Sings joyful soul; a combination of her diverse musical influences including Jazz, Pop, R&B and Folk. Her voice is hailed as ‘extraordinary’ (Vancouver Province), ‘beautiful’ (Canadian Musician) and ‘stunning’ (Star Phoenix). Her playful and witty character, love of improvising and her willingness to engage fearlessly with the audience has made Coco Love Alcorn a mainstay on the Canadian music scene.
Ian Sherwood
Sherwood is a musician, story teller and a constant creator. He has penned tunes for many other artists as well as theatre, film and television. He won a 2013 Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Singer of the Year, was named Male Artist of the Year by the 2012 International Acoustic Music Awards and was the 2008 and 2010 Music Nova Scotia Musician Of The Year. Bob Mersereau of CBC Radio, Fredericton described him as “... a natural performer who entertains as much with his wit and stories as with his songs.”
