Whether you plan to use Excel for personal or professional use, the hands-on exercises in this course will teach you the fundamental basics of the program, such as how to edit a workbook as well as format a worksheet and how to work with charts.

The objective of Microsoft Excel I is to introduce students to the program MS Excel. The course overviews the program's useful organizational features such as creating and managing budgets and schedules.

Individuals enrolled in this course can also expect to learn:
•About the Excel screen, including menus, toolbars
and task panes
•How to create, open and save a workbook
•How to navigate and enter labels and values into a worksheet
•About AutoSum, AutoFill and AutoFormat
•How to move a cell pointer
•How to work with cells, rows and columns
•How to format values and use the format painter
•About creating, moving and resizing a chart
•How to change a chart's source data
•About formatting and editing objects in a chart
•How to create pie charts
