We are back!! Starting the New Year off with a great lineup of talent for this our 6th round of the "A Fusion of Song" Songwriter's Circle!

This time around we have some new faces ;-)

Campbell + Green

Husband and wife duo, Campbell + Green, delivers a relaxed, professional style and rapport. Their music serves as a conduit for the passion they share for each other and the world around them, reflected in their strong vocals and harmonies.

Since teaming up in the fall, 2005, Robert and Cailin have put together an eclectic mix of original music and covers to entertain their audiences. Over the last few years they have concentrated on writing original material and their second recording titled ‘east’ was released June 6th, 2013.

Robert Campbell – vocals/piano/keyboard

Playing music since he was 6 years old on piano and Hammond organ, Robert attained Grade 8 in the Western Board certification, and enjoyed playing the big three rank pipe organs, chimes and full pedals. Robert also attended Grant McEwan College for a year before going on to play and travel with rock bands after which he returned to college to complete a second year.

By 1986, Robert was at music full time again playing country music with the likes of Rocky Swanson, Patricia Conroy, Susan Jacks & Buddy Knox as well as a host of other artists. In the past few years Robert has played in the Vancouver area doing pop, blues, R&B and country – in bands and solo, and currently resides in Nova Scotia.

Cailin Green – vocals/guitar

Cailin has been singing since the age of 11. Her vocal training began in choral groups and she has studied voice with various teachers over the years, experimenting with different genres and performances.

Cailin has appeared in numerous musical theatre productions, choral works, benefit concerts, music reviews, country/rock bands and recording for radio commercials. She plays guitar, acts and dances, and has directed and produced several musical productions and plays for community theatre. Cailin is currently focussing on her song writing and art in the beautiful setting of Nova Scotia. ~ www.CampbellAndGreen.ca

Rowan Ayers

Encouraged by his father, Rowan began playing guitar at a young age. Although the loss of his father while in is 20's was a tragic event, Rowan reminisces about how they spent many of their days together visiting local pubs and enjoying local music in England where he was born.

His love for music grew as he came to realize that music was his escape, growing up in an abusive household and suffering from bullying at school – Rowan turned to music to help him cope. An insecure boy with confused hopes and ideals, with his guitar always close by, he began experimenting and learning more freely.

Fast forward some, Rowan, now as a father and husband, has felt a calling to return to his musical roots and reconvene his dream of being successful in music. He takes pride in the fact the he is known and appreciated for his songwriting ability to always make relatable music. In his younger years, and even now, music has been a soothing part of his life, one that he can use to cope with, to celebrate and create memories for milestones in his life – being able to share that with others, is like a dream come true.

You can find Rowan performing solo, or in a band, which he does frequently. He is working closely with Denmark Productions to record some of his solo works, Rowan is active in Songwriter's Circles and Open Mics and is happy to do so, hoping to inspire and help others with his music, as it has helped him.
