Fair Isle is a stranded technique with colour-ways ranging from subtle heathers to brash brights. They look complex but Fair Isle garments are knitted using only two colours on any row. It looks intimidating but it isn't that hard. Once you've mastered a few simple techniques, you can play with colour and create a wide range of inventive items.

Why not join us for a fun, relaxing workshop? Learn the basic techniques while creating a Fundy inspired mitten.
The "Digby Scallop Sampler" was designed for you to learn how to:
~ Hold 2 yarns colours
~ Knit without tangling yarns
~ Strand and weave – pattern and background colours
~ Recognize the colour principles that make Fair Isle designs effective

Kit includes original pattern and 5 colours of 100% wool

Skill level needed is intermediate – participants must be familiar with knitting in the round. Demonstrations will be on double pointed needles
