Gallery / Exhibit
The Acadia University Art Gallery is presenting an exhibition of Geoff Butler’s most recent series of works, Global Village.
Butler is well known for his works that explore the human condition, often with a masterful use of satire and wit. As he notes, “my current series, Global Village, tries to convey a sense of the earth as our only planetary home. Like folk songs that can be crude or sophisticated, conceptually my art employs a folk art-like idiom to depict, in painterly terms, our increasing awareness of our place in the cosmos.”
Butler will present an exhibition tour and talk Wednesday April 1 at 2 p.m.
The work will be on display until May 15.
