The Worry Birds are a three piece folk band from Fall River, Nova Scotia. They play singable, original songs and they take their sweet time writing and arranging each one. Over the last three years, the band's repertoire has grown slowly and deliberately as busy lives have clashed with band practice. However, there is a common understanding within the group that most things “may take a while” and they have accepted this fact, albeit reluctantly.

When it came time to record their first full-length release, the band considered many options. After much thought (and several personal recommendations) they made the choice to work with award winning singer/song writer Dave Gunning at his studio Wee House of Music in Pictou County. Gunning was responsible for the entire process of recording, mixing and mastering.

Their new CD, aptly-titled Imperfect, is a collection of ten original songs and one fiddle set from the band's first three years together. The inspiration for the songs is drawn from their own lives, experiences and people they know. The title of the disc reflects the band's desire to release a recording that sounds real and not overly-produced. Gunning was also insistent on maintaining the “human” element throughout the recording process. The result is a raw energy and drive that conjures up the excitement and dynamic elements of the band's live performances.
