Please note this workshop goes over two Saturdays. Also on Saturday, April 5th from 10am - 12pm

Many Fair Isle designs use steeks to position sleeves and shape necklines while working in the round. The scary part is actually cutting your knitting to add the sleeves and complete the garment.

Another decorative detail is 2 colour "corrugated rib" to add that special touch to ribbing, button bands and necklines.

Why not join us for a steek and rib combo to learn what works and hazards to avoid? Gain experience while knitting a pair of fingerless mitts designed for you to learn how to:
- Set up and knit a steek
- Reinforce and cut a steek
- Pick up stitches next to a steek

Materials: Yarn kit provided – includes 4 colours of 100% wool and original pattern.

Level: Advanced – Must be familiar with working in the round and have some experience of stranded knitting. All demonstrations will be on 4 double pointed needles.

Participants will have various colour themes to choose from.

Instructor: Cheryl den Hartog has been fascinated with Fair Isle knitwear for some 20 years and has overcome her fear of steeks.
