Jean Leung B.A, M.S.W.
Jean Leung was born in Vancouver grew up in Alberta and moved to Nova Scotia to study social work. She makes her home in Grand Pre, Nova Scotia. She is inspired by the beauty of field, forest and family. She began her interest in art by working as an amateur potter. Jean worked for nine years under the guidance of the late Helen Beal’s, who was the head of the Acadia University Art Department. She now uses water color to capture the ever-changing seasons of life and land. She is a founding member and current treasurer of the Evangeline Artists’ Cooperative, Wolfville. Her work in private collections in three countries. Her current work is available for sale at the Designer Cafe by asking the staff who will arrange a sale for you. Her work can be seen at shows sponsored by the cooperative, at Pete’s Frootique Cafe in Halifax, Your Gallery located at the Valley Credit Union, Apple Bin Gallery located at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. You may also arrange to see her current work at her Studio Gallery in Grand Pre. All of the paintings are original works of art prepared on archival material meant to last a life time and beyond. A price list is available to match the number on each painting.
