In this workshop we will explore painting blossoming trees in the Spring landscape, subtle colours and edges, and dynamic composition. Demonstration in the morning, with one-on-one support during individual painting projects. If weather permits we will do some plein air work, so bring along a sketch book. In case of inclement weather, photo references will be provided.

Materials, acrylic paints; White, Ultramarine Blue, Thalo Blue, Napthol Red or a Crimson, Cadmium red Light or a light red, Cadmium yellow lemon or pale, and Cadmium yellow medium, Cadmium orange. We will use a limited palette or a warm and cool of three basic colours. One or two Canvas panel or stretched canvas, 8 x 10 up to 12 x 16, assortment of brushes should include 1/2 flat or filbert, 1/4 flat or bright and #3-4 round. Water containers, paper towels, larger garbage bag to protect work area. Easel if you are used to working with one. Sun hat or umbrella for shade.
