CMHA-Kings is hosting a focus group for parents/guardian of youth (15-24) who live with a mental health issue about their experiences and barriers to accessing mental health services in Nova Scotia. MQO Research is conducting this project on behalf of the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness.
The study is examining why some youth with mental health-related concerns do not seek help or do not seek help as quickly as they might. The results of the research will help inform a government strategy to address stigma and youth in our province.
The focus group is for parents/guardians only – youth have an opportunity to participate in a telephone interview by contacting the researcher Lindsay Bryson at 1-902-422-9243 or Lindsay@mqoresearch.com
There will be a $75 honorarium as a thank you for your time and contribution. Tea, coffee, water, and light snacks will be provided. Please RSVP to 902-679-7575 or email director@cmhakings.ns.ca.
