It's been said that an accordion is a thousand clarinets that you strap to your chest and play with your arms. Kate & Rich heat things up with a-thousand-and-one clarinets worth of klezmer-infused jazz and folk. It's music that warms your heart while it melts your face.
Bibs & Brent
Bibs and Brent are a husband and wife duo originating out of Ottawa, featuring Elizabeth 'Bibs' Foster on fiddle and Brent Weatherall on guitar and banjo. Their style draws from their love of traditional music with a focus on bluegrass and old time.
Both Bibs and Brent have played and continue to play in many projects in the Ottawa area which allows them to be exposed to a steady stream of new genres and musical ideas, which they try to sprinkle into their repertoire.
Traditional music is really where their heart is though, and approaching the music as a duo allows for the perfect space and interplay that has made this form of folk music so popular through so many generations.
Blending old school with the new school, Bibs and Brent bring a fresh take on traditional old-time music that's sure to give you an ear worm that lasts for days.
