Children, parents, teachers and grandparents can learn about the children's book ABC Acadie written by Mary Alice Downie and illustrated by Anne LeBlanc. The illustrator, an artist and storyteller in Digby County, will share how the book came to be, and how she was invited to illustrate it. She will also provide background on the stories and legends that appear throughout the book, and the original paintings for the book will be on display. There will be a draw for a copy of ABC Acadie. Refreshments will be served. Register by Oct. 8 by contacting the library.
