Hold on tight for an evening of high energy fiddling, high stepping dancing and high-spirited humour as Gordon Stobbe comes to town with some special friends. Joining Gordon will be Kelli Trottier (Bowfire, Bobby Lalonde, George Fox) and accompanists Geoff Horrocks and Greg Simm. The show will feature new and traditional fiddle music from across Canada as well as original songs by Kelli and Gordon from their recent release Still Point.
For the past thirty years, Gordon Stobbe has been recognized as one of the most sought after fiddlers in Canada. Making his home in Nova Scotia, he has traveled extensively through North America armed with his fiddle and vast musical knowledge. Best known as the host of TV's Up Home Tonight, he has gone on to be an 'in demand' session player and sideman for some of Canada's best known musical acts.
Kelli Trottier is best known for her work with the internationally successful fiddle revue Bowfire. As a solo artist, she has released seven solo albums and performs regularly with her band The Mushy Peas. Kelli is based in Kingston, Ontario. Rounding out the quartet are Ottawa's Geoff Horrocks and Windsor-born Greg Simm.
