The Lighthouse is the focus of this play and serves as a beacon not only in the lives of the close-knit family who live within it, but to the surrounding community as well. Set during the Second World War, some family members are engaged in the fighting while others, including the lighthouse keeper, who is also the mayor of the community, are trying to resurrect an industry for those who return. An enduring tale of fortitude and strength in the face of the heartaches that war can bring.

This drama is written and directed by Nova Scotian playwright Allen Hume .
