Andria Hill-Lehr (& special guests)
Commemorating a Nova Scotia War Heroine
Mona Parsons was found guilty of treason in Amsterdam, Holland on Dec. 22, 1941 for hiding Allied soldiers in her house. She would later return to her home of Nova Scotia. Her life has been the subject of a book by Andria Hill-Lehr as well as a Historica Minute. Plans are currently underway to create a sculpture to commemorate Parsons. The maquette will be revealed as part of the talk, along with some other special guests.
