Groundwater is a community resource shared by all, and society as a whole has a role in protecting the resource for future generations. In this week’s presentation, Terry Hennigar will explain the role of hydrogeologists in securing sustainable groundwater supplies.

Although groundwater is 'out of sight', it is very much within our influence and susceptible to contamination and overexploitation. Accordingly, we must be vigilant, good stewards, and aware of the vulnerability of groundwater to the impact of our day-to-day activities. Terry will focus on the steps required to locate, develop, manage, and protect groundwater supplies.

This Brown Bag Lunch event is offered by Acadia Lifelong Learning (adults age 50+), but community members, faculty, and students are welcome to attend. If you are a community member age 50+, we encourage you to consider joining ALL.
