About the Presenter;
Dr. Jonathon Fowles is a neuromuscular exercise physiologist and the Director of the Centre of Lifestyle Studies at Acadia University, examining the effects of exercise in athletes, the elderly and persons with chronic disease or disability. His research interests cover neural excitability and brain plasticity. In this talk, he will discuss how the brain physiologically creates memories and how learning processes occur to transfer short-term learned events into long-term memories. He will also identify practical strategies to enhance learning and memory retention, in the classroom and beyond.
