Just in time for the 100th year anniversary of the birth of Édith PIAF, Ariana has developed a 2 set live performance including 18 songs from the repetoire of PIAF, one of France’s best loved performers. The songs are all sung en français and the show includes song synopsis and background info in English. She is accompanied by her long-time collaborator, the inimitable Andy Flinn. Although relatively new (1st performance in Feb 2015), the show has been met with overwhelmingly positive audience response. See below for testimonials.
Background:
Ariana is a singer, multi-instrumentalist and recovering anglophone of Afghan/Canadian decent. She grew up in Wolfville Nova Scotia where she now lives with her husband Andy Flinn. As the duo Andy and Ariana they have produced 7 CDs of original material and spent many years on the road performing.
Ariana is enjoying the opportunity to perform solely as a singer, unfettered by physical instruments. The drama, the vocal-centric nature of the material and the language present an exciting opportunity for musical adventure.
