Join us for a fun-filled evening of music, Royal Blue Cocktails & appetizers and ‘Let’s send Wayne to London’!
The London Chancery Project (Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada) invited artists and designers from across Canada to participate in a design commission project for the refurbished Canada House in London England. The design competition was for custom hand tufted area rugs for the provincial, territorial rooms, reception areas and meeting rooms. Mr. Boucher submitted six designs of which three were chosen. Wayne’s artwork has been placed in the Nova Scotia Room, The Pacific Room, and the Links reception area.
Bob Snider:
Singer-songwriter Bob Snider has played on the street and in the concert hall. He’s been called a “national treasure”, a “living legend” and “author of some of the best Canadian songs of the decade”. After a hiatus from performing and recording, Bob Snider returns with a new album “Stealin’ Home”.Produced by David Baxter, the new CD contains 13 new songs that are quintessentially Bob. Songs that are direct, beautiful, sometimes quirky, sometimes funny but above all, songs that go straight to the heart.
Snider has entertained live from Halifax to Vancouver, from Texas to The Yukon. In the autumn of 1996, Snider played theatres throughout Nova Scotia, after a summer in which he earned standing ovations at the Winnipeg and Vancouver folk festivals. He entertained once again at Toronto's Harbourfront Centre, and "fronted" the band Superfriendz (at the 1996 Kumbaya event in Halifax). He also toured with Moxy Fruvous, opened for Blue Rodeo and stage-dived, while singing with Head.Snider lives in Bear River, Nova Scotia
