Join us as we welcome Sophie Bérubé, author of "Car la nuit est longue." Sophie is a Francophone writer originally from Quebec, but now living in the Gaspereau Valley.
Christophe is at home, Shaya, his three year old daughter, asleep in her room, Kai, his girlfriend, out for the evening. Christophe hears footsteps on the stairs. The door opens. He sees Kai and soon realizes that something is wrong.
Thus begins a long night of devastation where Christophe feels alternately helpless before his suffering and excluded from its drama. A little like Scheherazade in "Arabian Nights", he will attempt to free her from her nightmare by using stories of their past, until the couple is forced to face his own demons.
