Jessie MacCallum was fifteen years old when she wrote her first diary entry on January first 1901. Set on the cusp of the Edwardian Era, Jessie’s entries will take us on a journey back to the early 20th century. Jessie’s writings include stories of her many travels via the then extensive railway network and also open windows to view her interests in sports, clothing, the outdoors ….and boys……

This promises to be a fascinating evening .
Dr. Julian Gwyn, who has been the leading researcher of Jessie’s diary will lead the talk and excerpts from her diary will be on exhibit during the evening.

Descendants of Jessie will also be in attendance.
