Painting workshop with Judith Leidl. Let your mind go free, your creative juices flow; your spirit soar and your brushes go wild, in this soul-affirming mixed media approach to painting. Both traditional and non-traditional tools will be used as a means of visual exploration. Do you have a stash of old toothbrushes? Bring one of them back to life by using it as a painting implement on your mixed media work on paper with unexpected and spectacular results. Do you have a favorite twig which you have been saving for who knows what? Use this gift form Mother Nature combined with Chinese ink to dramatically enhance your work of art. Watermedia such as watercolour and pencils, ink, as well as oil pastels and coloured pencils are some of the materials you will explore using fine paper as a matrix. With no particular rules to follow, this course should prove refreshing: A cool breeze in the stifling humidity of summer.

Materials ($20) include drawing, painting, and collage supplies. Students should bring their own choice of tools, implements, scraps, objects, etc.
