As the REDRESS exhibit comes to a close, join us for a special student-led coffee house. This event will involve a vocal performance of songs about reflection and loss followed by an exploration of the colouring pages completed throughout the duration of the exhibit.

Student and community singers will perform songs about the emotions expressed through the REDress Project in order to encourage reflection on the topic through auditory means in an otherwise silent exhibit.

An opportunity to share and complete the colour pages will also occur. These colouring pages are available in the art gallery, or on our Facebook page. The goal of this exercise is to further develop a consciousness of the message behind the installation and to give voice to a powerfully silent exhibit, highlighting and providing an opportunity for reflection.

The emotion expressed through song, and the sense of individual personality expressed through written word and artwork, will allow visitors to experience the REDress Project in a different way than they had through the duration of the exhibit.

This student led event is being organized as part of the gallery’s outreach programming, where the Curator’s teachings assistants had the opportunity to plan and lead an engaged learning activity. This event is being co-organized by teaching assistants Lindsay Bilodeau and Kelsey Comeau.
