Imagine playing a role in an original movie for family viewing that shows off the beautiful and quirky characteristics of our community. What if our funny, intelligent little movie turns out to be a winner in film festivals? Wouldn't it feel great to be part of such a success and know you were making our community a little stronger at the same time?

Kimberly Smith is looking for all kinds of people who would like to participate in a community movie making project next summer. No movie making or acting experience required. We will apply for a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts under the Artists and Community Collaboration Program and hopefully get some funding from Municipal and Provincial governments as well. It is essential that we have signed commitments from at least six to ten responsible people to get this project off the ground. It will take less of your time than you might imagine.

This is an opportunity to be part of something special. You'll get to meet new people and be part of a team that will create an original local movie that will be a lot of fun to do plus you'll be learning from an artist who has been working in the film and television business for twenty five years. Be part of this community movie making project. The finished movie will be screened locally and hopefully on the film festival circuit as well.
