Brain fitness is becoming as popular in media and advertising as cardiac fitness. You may worry about the best way to ensure that your brain function is preserved throughout our lifespan. The most exciting new neurological understanding is that the brain constantly changes, hence the buzz word "neuroplasticity". Furthermore, no matter your age, YOU can change your brain.

In this presentation, Dr. Heather McNally will provide the a brief explanation of the neuroscience behind this, give advice on the essential evidence-based changes you must make and offer concrete suggestions for how to make it happen in your life.

This will be an introduction to the A.L.L. course Dr. McNally will be giving in the winter term. The course will provide more opportunity for discussion and exploration of each of the essential changes to be made. Students will develop a specific personal plan to ensure their best brain health.

This free Brown Bag Lunch is offered by Acadia Lifelong Learning. Members of the community are welcome to attend. If you enjoy the Brown Bag Lunch series, we encourage you to consider becoming an A.L.L. member.
