45% of Canadian seniors admitted to hospital are malnourished. Yikes!
In this week's Brown Bag Lunch, Professor Catherine Morley discusses her research on collaborative approaches to supporting seniors aging-in-place (in their own homes) by paying attention to the food and nutrition-related reasons that malnutrition rates are so high in community-dwelling seniors….and to not burning out family caregivers in the process. She has an interest in the use of participatory and arts-based approaches in working with community members in conducting research and to extend the reach of research findings. She produced the ethnodrama, ‘Who Cares?’, that was based on her research with caregivers about their experiences feeding older family members, and was presented at Acadia University in September 2015.
This free event is offered by Acadia Lifelong Learning (ALL). If you enjoy the Brown Bag Lunch series, please consider becoming an ALL member.
