Participating Organizations:

Brigadoon Village (Summer Camps):

Brigadoon is a non-profit recreational facility on Aylesford Lake in the Annapolis Valley. With our partners, we deliver camp programming to children, youth and families living with a chronic illness, chronic condition, or special need across Atlantic Canada. Brigadoon is a place where campers come to experience new things, meet friends who are facing similar challenges, and to just be themselves. Our guiding principles lead program development: to live sustainably, to be innovative, to be environmentally mindful, to be creative, to be compassionate, to be accountable, to be accessible, to create and build partnerships, to be community –orientated, and of course, to have exceptional fun.  brigadoonvillage.org

Broken Leg Theatre / Caravan Theatre (Theatre Groups):

Broken Leg Theatre is a family-friendly variety show that plays at the Al Whittle in Wolfville three times a year. Our next show is Sat, June 18 at 7pm and will feature DanceConXion, Caravan Theatre, El Mirlo Flamenco, The Dead Sheep Scrolls comedy sketch team, and more! Caravan Theatre seeks to engage its audience's minds and spirits in theatre that is innovative and inspirational. We work with emerging and established theatre, dance and music artists to explore disparate ideas, forms and styles in both found and original material. Our goal is beauty in design, precision in performance and elevating the artistic spirit. facebook.com/BrokenLegTheatre / caravantheatre.ca

Charmed Life Craft (Art Camp):

We will try fun, messy projects such as painting with bubbles, marbles, foam and squirt guns! We will also enjoy free play and time outside. Register at Acadia Art Gallery, 10 Highland Avenue, (902) 585-1373. Registration ends on August 1st. Hooray!

Edalene Theatre (Summer Theatre Camps):

This year we are doing Disney's smash hit-High School Musical Troy, Gabriella, and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends, and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities. During this camp the students will be trained in dance, music and theatre technique while rehearsing for a full scale musical production. All who audition will be admitted, provided space is available. If you or your child does not want a major role but wants to come to camp, they may submit their registration without auditioning. We will be accepting registrations until we fill camp completely and can consider video auditions.  edalenetheatre.ca

We will be promoting our weekly, or full summer paddling programs for children ages 5-16. The paddling program puts athletes in age groups, allowing them to foster friendships and compete with those at a similar stage as themselves. The program not only includes learning how to both sprint canoe and kayak, but take part in crew boats (2,4 and 15 person boats), but also includes daily yoga sessions, other sports games, theme days, and fun summertime events! There is also the option to take part in competition, or just to come and learn a new activity!
