Join us as we welcome novelist and poet Anna Quon to the Merritt Gibson Memorial Library. Quon will be here to help with the official unveiling of the Library's Diversity Bookshelf by reading from her second novel, "Low", the story of a 19-year-old girl’s slide into depression and her experience of mental healthcare.
The Municipality of the County of Kings Warden Diana Brothers will be on hand at 2:00 pm to officially unveil the Diversity Bookshelf to the public.
A screening of videos from Quon's digital storytelling project she co-facilitated with the Canadian Mental Health Association will follow, as well as a writing workshop to round out the afternoon.
