Ida Red is a new band that is fast capturing hearts in the Annapolis Valley and beyond.
Fronted by performance veterans Kim Barlow and Heather Kelday, the band made their debut at the Full Circle Festival in 2015 and has had people dancing in barns, bars and grand old halls ever since.
Ida Red plays a rowdy fun mix of old-time fiddle and banjo tunes, and original songs created by the powerful team of Kelday and Barlow. They also play campfire songs you’ll be glad to sing along to and jump around the old barn to … in fact, you might not have any choice! Dennis Robinson gets all fired up on fiddle and mandolin and Peter Williams holds steady on stand-up bass to keep the apples from spilling out of the barrel. Everybody sings!
