Ryan Cook is an award-winning singer/songwriter who's performed with Country purists like Dwight Yoakam, Roseanne Cash, & Travis Tritt. Defying the standard in cowboy culture, Ryan’s roots range as far away as Punk Rock, Death Metal & Alternative Pop. His progressive take on Americana & Folk music has been called refreshing by Exclaim, Maverick, and Now Magazine. His debut record Hot Times, sophomore album Peaks & Valleys, and Wrestling with Demons each earned Album of the Year at the Nova Scotia Music Awards. Ryan Cook has earned a total of fifteen nominations from Music Nova Scotia and The East Coast Music Association while performing over 800 concerts throughout North America & Asia since 2007. Performing original arrangements like Will You Take Me Back to Tulsa?, Gaspereau Valley and Dead Like Me, Ryan Cook also pays tribute to hillbilly pioneers such as Hank Williams, Merle Travis, and John Hartford.
