The Festival of Art has been the Hants County Arts Council’s signature event since its founding in 2006.
Join us this year at the newly renovated Pisiquid Canoe Club at the Windsor waterfront; home of our very first festival!
Schedule of Events
Saturday, Oct. 1, All Day: Randy Hall, professional framer will be on site to discuss your framing needs. Bring in your art and Randy will describe how best to frame it.
10:00 a.m. - Learn paper-craft from Nicole of Nika Paper Arts of Windsor.
11:00 a.m. - Ryan Power of KPMG will talk about tax considerations for artists moving from hobbyist to professional.
1:00 p.m. - “A is for Art, Association & Advertising”. Kelly Mitchelmore will speak about the various ways we have available to market ourselves as artists—or being a part of the artist community—including social media, associations, festivals, websites, prints, etc.
2:00 - 5:00 p.m. - Art demonstrations. Watch members of the HCAC at work; sharing their secrets!
