*heart wide open* conversation circles

“All great changes begin in conversation.”
— Juanita Brown

OPEN HOUSE. Everyone welcome!

The intention of the *heart wide open* monthly conversation circles is to create an engaged, supportive, nourishing space where we can collectively explore ways to live more “heart-ful” lives, both on a personal level and as a community.

These focused, yet relaxed, evenings begin with a short guided meditation, a few minutes of silence, or the reading of an informative and inspiring quote. The gently facilitated discussion may take place in pairs, in small groups, a larger group or even solo in a journal format, and probably in several formats each night. Evenings will end with an opportunity for causal conversation, shared tea and healthy snacks.

Topics may include: gratitude, compassion, happiness, forgiveness, self-acceptance, inter-relatedness, community, livelihood, passions, spirituality, self-expression, communication/listening, meditation, and silence/solitude.

*heart wide open* conversation circles meet once a month (currently on the second Wednesday, from 7 – 9pm). To reserve a place in this seasons circle (September through May), please email. Participants are encouraged to attend as many monthly sessions as possible within the season. Space is limited. Donations (to help with hall expenses etc.) welcome.

***
*heart wide open* is a mindfulness and inner vitality project based in Wolfville Nova Scotia, initiated by Heidi Kalyani. Other offerings include — weekly practice, incorporating gentle yoga, kirtan (meditative singing), and reflective writing/meditation/listening; monthly kirtan evenings; contemplative concerts; short retreats; and mindful meditation walks, hikes and camping trips.

The intention of *heart wide open* is to cultivate compassion, connection, insight and transformation — within ourselves, with each other and within our communities.
