One of our favourite coastal hikes - come join us for a beautiful morning hike to Pirate's Cove! We have to time this one with the incredible Bay of Fundy tides; this trail is completely impassable when the tide is in.
Meeting for 9:30 departure at Blomidon Nurseries off Exit 11 of the 101 . We will convoy to the trail head on the North Mountain.
What to Expect:
- Hike will be approximately 2 hours
- Difficulty = Moderate/Difficult (ocean rocks may be slippery)
- Terrain = Mixed (Forest path, beach, basalt flows)
- Waterfall, ocean, stream, & forest exposure
- A couple of activities to connect you with nature
- A snack (Fruit, granola bars, nuts) will be provided
Must be comfortable and able to climb basalts (201 million year old lava rocks) - this trail is meant for abled bodied persons who are comfortable with physical exertion.
Bring:
- Good walking shoes
- Backpack (if you have one)
- Windbreaker
- Water bottle
- $40 cash
Must sign waiver prior to departure.
