We have invited Doris to come have a cup of tea with you and show you some of her work, and discuss rug hooking as a hobby (passion). Doris loves to share her craft, but her greatest joy is especially helping others find their own design. Doris is a warm, generous of spirit lady and would love to meet and talk to you. Copies of her much acclaimed book "A Lifetime of Rug Hooking" will also be available. An autographed copy would be a prized Christmas gift for any Hooker.
Doris Eaton is an internationally known rug hooker. She has been a driving force in Rug Hooking in Nova Scotia for many years and was instrumental in forming The Nova Scotia Rug Hooking Guild, where she remains a life member. Her art background has shone through in her inspiring designs, using texture and color in unusual and unexpected ways. Doris best delights in showing others how to start hooking on their own, and support them as they develop their own visions. Doris' book, "A Lifetime of Rug Hooking" is a wonderful resource of her 50 years of hooked rugs, stories of how they were developed and tips and tricks for rug hooking .
