Presented by the Hants County Arts Council, our Artisans in Action series of pop-up shows is meant to showcase Nova Scotian artists and artisans who focus on historical trades, crafts, and art forms done in both traditional and contemporary manners. This series is an opportunity for artists and artisans to engage an audience by demonstrating their creative process and techniques, while also offering their products for sale. We have found this interactive series very popular with the public and expect visitor numbers to continue to grow.

We are currently accepting artists for this year's series of events, the cost to participate is $20 per person/per event. As always artists and artisans are accepted on a first come, first serve basis and we accept 3 artists from each medium, for each event (excluding Paint Avondale, which is open to as many artist as we can comfortably accommodate along the historic Newport Landing waterfront). Tables and chairs are provided and we have a number of canopy tents should you want to set-up outdoors.
