Sara Jewell is an award-winning narrative journalist whose articles and essays have been published in newspapers and magazines across Canada. Born and raised in Ontario, Sara’s lifelong love of Nova Scotia began with a family vacation when she was nine, and deepened after she moved to Nova Scotia from Vancouver in 2002. Her bi-weekly "Field Notes" column was the inspiration for her first book, a collection of essays, called Field Notes: A City Girl’s Search for Heart and Home in Rural Nova Scotia, published by Nimbus.
