A popular seasonal tradition returns to Wolfville as Annapolis Valley singer-songwriter Rachel MacLean hosts the eighth annual Christmas With Friends in Wolfville. Special guests include multi-award winner Jim Witter and Nova Scotia teenage country sensation Makayla Lynn.
Jim Witter has been entertaining crowds for over 30 years. His music and songwriting have been recognized on both sides of the border, earning him multiple awards and nominations from the Canadian Country Music Association, the Juno Awards and Dove Awards in Nashville. Jim has had 10 top ten radio hits in Canada including “Stolen Moments” and “Distant Drum”, 7 hit videos on CMT and impressive chart action in the US on Billboard and R&R. Today, Jim Witter receives rave reviews internationally for “The Piano Men”; a musical journey through the 70s featuring the songs of Billy Joel and Elton John.
Makayla Lynn is a fresh face in the music industry with the vocals, songwriting ability and stage presence that many call unprecedented for her age. She has represented Nova Scotia in the 2016 CCMA Spotlight contest, the ECMA, Music NS and IMEA nominated artists. At age 16, she boasts over one million video views from social media fans and has been recognized in Rolling Stone magazine. Makayla is an award-winning singer/songwriter who already has recorded four albums.
