13th Annual Robot Programming Competitions

Acadia University will host the top middle-school and high school robotics teams from around the Province. Qualified middle-school teams will compete in the FIRST LEGO League HYDRO DYNAMICS Challenge, where teams will showcase their robots on the competition floor. The high school ROBOFEST® challenge for 2017-18 is Autonomous Tennis Ball Collector® where robots have to autonomously collect tennis balls and put them in a ball box. In both competitions, the teams learn to work together to solve fun but challenging technical problems using math, engineering, computer science, and autonomous program-controlled robots.

High School robot game competition is in the morning, followed by the middle-school robot game, then a fun high school BottleSumo challenge is showcased, where robots race head to head to push a bottle or their opponent off the competition table.

Come check out these robots in action, and find out how to get involved in the fun and challenge next year!
