Please join us for this free Lunchtime Learning session presented by Acadia Lifelong Learning.

Cst. Kelli Gaudet will join us to give an overview of what human trafficking is, its stages, and where recruiting is happening. She will also discuss general indicators of human trafficking as well as physical indicators. What are police doing to help combat this crime and what can community members do to help? What should you be looking for etc.?

Presenter:
Cst. Kelli Gaudet is just completing her 13th year with the RCMP. Her posting have included: Airdrie, Alberta; Ottawa, Ontario; Yarmouth, Nova Scotia; and Kings District, Nova Scotia. Cst. Gaudet has done General Duty Policing, Community Policing, First Nation Policing and has toured with the RCMP Musical Ride. She is currently working in Kings District as the Community Policing Officer and First Nation Policing Officer. She also holds the portfolio as the RCMP Human Trafficking Coordinator for all First Nation Communities and Victims in NS. She is looking forward to sharing information on this important topic with your group as she believes education and awareness are key on combating this issue.
